In September of 2013, OSU was granted an OPDL franchise license, as a founding member of the program. In order to participate within the OPDL, clubs must meet strict criteria that illustrate their technical performance and operational excellence through an application process.
When introduced, the OPDL was Canada's first standards-based youth high performance league. It continues to lead the advancement of high-level soccer for youth players in our country, through player, coach and match official development. The program begins at U13 and leads into the elite player pathway within our country for player identification for professional, national and provincial teams.
OSU is proud that since joining the program, we have consistently been recognized as a leading performer within Ontario for our player development, collective team success and club evaluations.
