U16 - U18 Boys & Girls (2001/2002)

IMPORTANT: Now that our season has begun, for anyone who has registered as of May 25th or later: please allow up to 72 hours to hear back from the coordinator regarding team assignment.


Program Description:

The U16 - U18 age group is a combination of players born in 2004 & 20032003 and falls under the Soccer for Life module of the Long Term Player Development program of the Ontario Soccer Association.  They will play in a league format and team sizes will not exceed 20 players.  Mix of U16, U17 and U18 players on the same team. Boys and girls play in separate leagues. Boys and Girls program will be separate.


Program Details:  

Season Start – Boys Tuesday May 22th 2018 and Ending August 14th 2018

Season Start – Girls Thursday May 24th 2018 and Ending August 16th 2018

Last Game: Year End Tournament, except for the two Championship finalists which will be the following week

Start Time: 6:30 pm (practice)

Game Time: 7:00 – approx 8:25 pm (possibly an earlier start in mid to late August due to earlier sunset)

Game Length: 2 x 40-minute halves with 5-minute halftime

Target Team Size: 18-20 players

Players on the Field: 11 (including the goalie)

  • Uniform (Jersey, Shorts, socks)


Parents to Provide:

  • Shin Pads, cleats
  • Water, Sun Screen

Coaching: Parent Volunteers


Coaching Qualifications: OSU hosts in house clinics for all volunteer coaches.


Friend & Field Requests:  

Play will occur at various locations within the general OSU geographic area. Approximately half of the games will take place as near the home location of the players as possible, depending on the fields that are available.  OSU will do its best to honour friend requests but there are no guarantees.
