Try-Out for OSU Competitive Soccer

Next Upcoming Trials: Spring Trials

Looking to Try-Out for OSU Soccer?

OSU Soccer holds two primary try-out periods throughout the year. The first trial period is in September-October, through our Fall Trials which allow us to select players into our winter programs. The second trial period occurs in February-March each year, and is designed to select players for our summer teams and programs.

If you are interested in trying-out for OSU immediately, or during a time period other than stated above, it is best to contact Our Programs Manager at for more information on how to join.

Information on How Trials Work at OSU

  • Players must be registered in advance of the Trial in order to attend. Should you register after they have begun that is OK as well.

  • Please always arrive 20 minutes early to check-in for the trial and receive your trial pinnie. All schedules for Spring and Fall Trials are posted to this page

  • OSU will always do their best to offer as many teams as we have players for and to attempt to not have to release players at the conclusion of the trials (no cuts if it can be avoided)

  • Summer and winter teams will play in the appropriate tier in the local district leagues as available

  • Game play is generally within Eastern Ontario (other than provincial level play). At U11 and above, teams are permitted to travel outside of our area for festivals and tournaments.

  • At the conclusion of the trials, players will be sent an offer to be placed within a team for the upcoming season. Their offer will include all registration information, cost and program details

  • Pre-season training for summer teams will begin after April 1st, with their summer season beginning as of May 15th through August

  • Training for winter program teams generally begins in late October or early November, and runs through until March Break

  • Program costs are dependent upon the team in which they are selected for, and will be communicated to you specifically at the time of offer

  • Players will also need to purchase their uniforms set as well as any additional team fees for tournaments or team events. These costs will be determined during the formation of the team

  • The uniform is purchased at Barrhaven Source for Sports and players should only proceed with purchase after receiving their jersey number, which is non-conflicting to others in their age group

  • If you are willing to volunteer with team administration, please let your coordinator know
